PollPe vs LifePoints India 2026: Cash to UPI or Amazon Vouchers?

PollPe vs LifePoints India 2026: Cash to UPI or Amazon Vouchers?

TL;DR

LifePoints works in India and it's legit (Kantar-owned), but it pays Rs 2-30 per survey in points, needs ~5,500 points for a Rs 550 Amazon voucher, and first payout takes 3-5 weeks. PollPe pays Rs 15-80 per survey as cash to UPI from Rs 50. Full honest comparison.

TL;DR: LifePoints works in India and it is legit (Kantar owns it, they've been doing market research since 1946). Its own India FAQ puts a completed survey at Rs 20 to Rs 300, sets the minimum redemption at 300 LP (about Rs 300), and prices the smallest Amazon.in card at 330 LP for a Rs 300 voucher. Everything is paid as vouchers or PayPal, never as UPI cash. PollPe pays Rs 15-80 per survey as real cash to UPI with a Rs 50 minimum. If you want vouchers from a global research giant, LifePoints is fine. If you want cash in your bank this week, PollPe wins.

PollPe vs LifePoints: the quick answer

Unlike half the apps people ask us about, LifePoints actually operates in India. No geo-block, no VPN nonsense needed. So this is a real comparison between two working options, not another "sorry, that app doesn't serve India" post.

The short version: LifePoints is a points-and-vouchers panel run by Kantar, one of the biggest market research companies on the planet. PollPe is an India-first survey app that pays cash to UPI. Both are legitimate. They just solve different problems. LifePoints suits someone who shops on Amazon anyway and doesn't mind waiting a few weeks. PollPe suits someone who wants Rs 50 in their bank account today.

Now the details, because the details matter more than the headline.

What LifePoints actually is

LifePoints is the consumer survey panel of Kantar (earlier it was run under Lightspeed Research, then merged into the LifePoints brand). Kantar has been in the research business since 1946. That heritage matters. It means the surveys are real client research, the panel won't disappear overnight, and your data is handled by a company with actual compliance teams.

You sign up, fill your profile, and get survey invites by email and in the app. Each survey pays LifePoints. Their India FAQ puts a completed survey at Rs 20 to Rs 300 depending on length and how niche the audience is. That is LifePoints' own published range, not an independent measurement, so treat the top of it as a ceiling rather than an average.

Redemption is where you need to pay attention. LifePoints' published minimum is 300 LP, about Rs 300:

RewardMinimumNotes
Amazon.in voucher330 LP (Rs 300 card), 550 LP (Rs 500 card)Most popular option for Indian users
PayPal cashNo separate tier publishedNeeds a PayPal account, currency conversion applies
Other vouchers (Flipkart, Nykaa, PhonePe gift card, Zomato)VariesAvailability changes by month
Charity donationFrom Rs 100Nice touch, honestly

Do the maths on that Amazon voucher. The smallest Rs 300 card costs 330 LP, so how many surveys that takes depends entirely on where in LifePoints' own Rs 20 to Rs 300 range your invites actually land. What you don't control is the queue: India invite volume is moderate, and once you redeem, the gift card itself can take up to 10 days to arrive. That's the trade you're making.

What PollPe is, for anyone new here

Full disclosure: this is the PollPe blog, so obviously we think our app is good. But we'll keep the claims specific and checkable.

PollPe is built for India first. Surveys pay Rs 15 to Rs 80 each depending on length and how niche the audience is. Money goes to your wallet as rupees, not points, and you can withdraw from Rs 50 directly to UPI. Most withdrawals land in under a minute, roughly 7 in 10 inside five minutes, and about 98% within 24 hours. The app supports Hindi and 10+ Indian languages, has 5M+ downloads, and holds a 4.6 rating on Google Play from 146K+ reviews.

No PayPal required. No currency conversion. No waiting for a voucher email. That's the whole pitch.

Where LifePoints genuinely beats PollPe

We promised honest, so here it is.

Kantar's client base is enormous. That sometimes means LifePoints gets long, premium research studies (product tests, diary studies, multi-week trackers) that a younger India-first panel simply doesn't have access to yet. If you qualify for one of those, a single study can be worth more than a week of short surveys.

The brand review history is deeper too. LifePoints has years of reviews on SurveyPolice and similar sites. You can read a decade of user experiences before signing up. PollPe's public review trail is newer, even if the Play Store numbers are strong. And if you specifically want Flipkart or Nykaa vouchers rather than cash, LifePoints hands you those directly, no extra step.

One more thing. LifePoints' charity donation option starts at around Rs 100. Small thing, but if you like donating spare points, PollPe doesn't have that yet.

Where PollPe wins, and why it's not close for most people

Cash beats vouchers. Every time. A Rs 300 Amazon voucher can only be spent on Amazon. Rs 300 in your bank account can be spent on Amazon, or recharge, or dal chawal, or anything. The voucher is a strict subset of cash, so unless the voucher pays meaningfully more (it doesn't here), cash wins by default.

Then there's speed. Waiting 3-5 weeks for a first payout kills motivation. We've seen it in our own data: users who get their first payout in week one stick around, users who wait a month mostly quit. LifePoints' points-and-vouchers structure puts a redemption step between you and the money. PollPe's Rs 50 minimum means your very first evening of surveys can end with money actually in your bank, usually within a minute of requesting it.

On per-survey pay the two are closer than the points display makes it look. PollPe quotes Rs 15 to Rs 80, LifePoints' own FAQ quotes Rs 20 to Rs 300. Both are self-reported ranges. The real difference is the payout rail, not the headline number.

And the language thing is real. If you're more comfortable in Hindi, Tamil or Telugu, LifePoints has nothing for you. PollPe does.

Can you use both? Should you?

Honestly, yes. This isn't a phone-buying decision where you pick one and live with it. Survey earning works best when you stack 2-3 apps, because no single panel sends enough surveys to fill your free time.

A setup that works: PollPe as your daily driver for cash, LifePoints running in the background for the occasional long study, and maybe Google Opinion Rewards for Play credit. Check LifePoints twice a week rather than daily, since invite volume for India is moderate. Let the points pile up toward the 330 LP Amazon voucher while PollPe handles your week-to-week earning.

What you should NOT do is grind LifePoints as your main app expecting fast cash. The structure isn't built for that. Points, vouchers and a redemption queue are a slower loop than cash to UPI, whatever the threshold is.

The PayPal trap, again

LifePoints offers PayPal cash as one of its redemption options, and on paper that sounds better than a voucher. In practice, PayPal in India is a leaky bucket for small amounts.

First, you need a PayPal account linked to your PAN and bank, which many casual earners don't have. Second, PayPal converts your dollars to rupees at its own exchange rate, which sits a few percent below the market rate. Third, RBI rules mean PayPal auto-withdraws to your bank, and small transfers can attract bank-side charges depending on your account. By the time your $10 becomes rupees in your account, you've quietly lost Rs 40-70 to conversion spread. On a Rs 830 payout, that's real money.

We covered this same problem in our Qmee comparison, and the conclusion holds here: for Indian users, any app that routes small payouts through PayPal is charging you an invisible tax that UPI simply doesn't have. UPI transfers are free. Rs 50 sent is Rs 50 received.

If you do use LifePoints, take the Amazon.in voucher instead of PayPal. You skip the conversion entirely and Rs 300 of voucher stays Rs 300 of voucher. Just make sure it's Amazon.in, not Amazon.com. They are separate wallets and a .com card is nearly useless here.

Getting the most out of LifePoints if you sign up

A few things that actually move the needle, learned from user reports and our own testing:

  1. Fill the profile completely on day one. Half-filled profiles get fewer invites on every panel, LifePoints included. Ten minutes of honest answers pays for itself within a month.
  2. Respond to invites fast. LifePoints surveys have quotas, and India quotas fill quickly. An invite from this morning may already be closed tonight. If you're going to do LifePoints, check it at a fixed time daily, ideally morning.
  3. Never fake demographics to qualify. Kantar runs consistency checks across surveys. Contradict yourself and the account gets flagged, and flagged accounts lose their points. Same rule applies on PollPe, honestly. Panel quality checks are stricter in 2026 than they were even two years back.
  4. Watch for product tests. These are LifePoints' best feature for Indian users. They're rarer than regular surveys but pay several hundred points each.
  5. Redeem as soon as you cross the threshold. Points sitting in a panel account are points exposed to policy changes, expiry rules, and account issues. Convert to voucher, then relax.

Realistic earnings from each

Numbers, not promises. With 30-45 minutes daily:

PollPe: Rs 300-800 per month is typical for consistent users, more if you complete your profile properly and qualify for higher-paying niche surveys. We wrote a whole post on qualifying for more surveys if you want the tactics.

LifePoints: Rs 150-400 worth of points per month for an active Indian user is a fair estimate, arriving as vouchers every 6-10 weeks or so. Some months better, some worse, depending on invite volume.

Neither replaces a job. Anyone telling you survey apps replace a salary is selling something.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is LifePoints legit in India?

A: Yes. LifePoints is owned by Kantar, a global market research company operating since 1946. It pays Indian users in Amazon vouchers, other gift cards, and PayPal cash. It is slow, but it is not a scam.

Q: Does LifePoints pay cash to UPI?

A: No. LifePoints has no UPI payout. Your options are gift vouchers (Amazon, Flipkart, others) or PayPal cash. For direct UPI cash in India, PollPe pays from Rs 50 to any UPI ID.

Q: How much does LifePoints pay per survey in India?

A: LifePoints' own India FAQ puts it at Rs 20 to Rs 300 per completed survey. Longer or more niche surveys pay toward the higher end. That is a self-reported range, so treat the top of it as a ceiling.

Q: How long does LifePoints take to pay?

A: LifePoints' published minimum redemption is 300 LP, about Rs 300. How long that takes comes down to how many invites you get, and India invite volume is moderate. After you redeem, allow up to 10 days for the voucher or PayPal payment to arrive.

Q: Which pays more, PollPe or LifePoints?

A: PollPe pays cash rather than points, and most UPI withdrawals land in under a minute instead of routing you through a voucher or PayPal redemption. LifePoints occasionally offers long premium studies that pay well if you qualify.

Q: Can I use PollPe and LifePoints together?

A: Yes, and you probably should. Neither app alone sends enough surveys to fill an hour a day. Use PollPe for regular cash and let LifePoints accumulate toward a voucher in the background.

Verdict

LifePoints is the best of the Western panels we've compared so far, simply because it actually works in India and Kantar's research pipeline is real. That already puts it ahead of Survey Junkie, Prolific, Branded Surveys and InboxDollars, none of which serve Indian users at all.

But "works in India" and "built for India" are different things. Points instead of rupees, a 300 LP minimum paid out as vouchers, a redemption queue, English only. Every one of those choices makes sense for a global panel and none of them make sense for an Indian user who just wants survey money in their bank account. PollPe made the opposite choices on all four. Use LifePoints as a background voucher machine if you like. Keep PollPe as the daily driver.
